Since an early age I have had a passion and interest in languages and foreign cultures. Although English, I lived and was educated in Italy until I was a teenager and am therefore fully Italian bilingual. Upon returning to England for high school education, I continued in this desire of languages and went on to study French, German and Spanish. I obtained a degree in German and linguistics with a Spanish minor from the University of East Anglia in 1992. I taught French and German at a private school in Norfolk until I established myself as a freelance teacher, interpreter and translator in 1995. As more and more local public services required interpreters this developed further and I was one of the first to gain the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting qualification (DPSI) in Norfolk. I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and have gone on to become an Interpreter trainer for the DPSI for the Institute of Linguists (IOL) both locally and further afield.
